Art. Community. Impact.
Gil Project is the social impact initiative behind Edwin Gil’s artistic practice, connecting art, local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and communities to create meaningful and lasting change.
Through collaborations with restaurants and local businesses, original artworks are created and exhibited in spaces where people naturally gather. A portion of the proceeds from these works helps build a fund that supports nonprofit organizations connected to the five territories of The Heart Series: Roots, Voice, Identity, Healing, and Belonging.
Each year, five nonprofit organizations will be selected—one representing each territory. An original artwork will be created for each organization, and 100% of the proceeds from the sale of those five nonprofit artworks will benefit the respective organizations.
The project comes together annually around World Heart Day, September 29, celebrating the businesses, community partners, collectors, and nonprofit organizations that make this cycle of art and giving possible.

Art created with local businesses to give back to the community.
Where local business meets art, community, and purpose.
Community Hearts is an initiative of Gil Project that connects art with restaurants, businesses, and community partners throughout the city.
Each participating partner will host an original heart artwork created by Edwin Gil and inspired by the spirit, culture, or story of that place. The artwork will be available for purchase, with a portion of the proceeds contributing to a collective fund created to support five nonprofit organizations each year.
The five nonprofits will be connected to the five territories of The Heart Series Roots, Voice, Identity, Healing, and Belonging — creating a bridge between local businesses, art, and organizations making a difference in our community.
Each year, the project will culminate on September 29, World Heart Day, bringing together our Community Heart partners, nonprofit organizations, collectors, and community to celebrate the impact we can create together.
