Across cultures and generations, food has been one of the most universal ways we welcome one another, celebrate, remember, and connect. There is a familiar saying that the way to the heart is through the stomach and in this first chapter of The Territory of Belonging, that idea becomes both the inspiration and the art itself.

The Table We Share is a collection of handcrafted ceramic pieces shaped around the human heart. Each piece becomes a functional work of art a unique surface designed to hold, arrange, and share food, much like a sculptural charcuterie board.

Through these heart-shaped forms, food becomes more than something we eat. It becomes a language. A story. A memory of home. An invitation to discover flavors and traditions from around the world.

Different foods will inhabit these hearts. Different cultures will meet at the same table. And through the simple act of sharing a meal, strangers can become neighbors and neighbors can become community.

Because perhaps belonging is not only about where we come from, but about where we are welcomed, where we are nourished, and with whom we choose to share the table.
