A Community Heart by Edwin Gil
Created as part of Gil Project’s Community Hearts initiative, The Heart of La Vecina celebrates a place where culture, food, friendship, and community come together.
Inspired by the resilience and beauty of the cactus, the anatomical heart becomes a symbol of strength, belonging, and the roots we create wherever life takes us. Its golden details remind us that even through life's cracks and challenges, something beautiful and meaningful can continue to grow.
Displayed at La Vecina, this artwork represents more than a connection between art and a local business. It celebrates the people, stories, and shared experiences that make a community feel like home.
Art with a purpose.
As part of Community Hearts, a limited edition of 100 authorized reproductions is available to collectors and community supporters. 50% of eligible reproduction sales supports a nonprofit organization selected by La Vecina, transforming each purchase into an opportunity to give back.
By collecting this heart, you are not simply bringing a piece of art into your home. You are celebrating culture, supporting community, and becoming part of a story that continues to grow.
One Business. One Heart. One Community.
The heart is a territory to discover.
