From The Heart of Our Heritage – The Territory of Identity
At the center of this work, a deep turquoise heart emerges within a dreamlike landscape of mountains, celestial forms, symbolic figures, animals, and mysterious architecture. The composition explores identity as a territory suspended between the world we inherit and the world we imagine.
The Andean landscape represents origin and ancestral memory, while the fantastical figures suggest spirituality, mythology, and the stories that travel from one generation to another. The bird evokes freedom and transformation, and the pathways and architectural forms speak to the places—both physical and emotional—that we cross throughout our lives.
The turquoise heart becomes the meeting point between these worlds: past and present, earth and spirit, heritage and personal transformation. It reminds us that identity is not simply where we come from, but what we carry forward and what we choose to become.
