The Heart Series
Mixed Media, Gold Leaf, Acrylic and Ink on Canvas
There was a time when I believed gratitude was simply about saying thank you.
Life eventually revealed something deeper.
This heart was created after discovering that gratitude does not erase pain, rewrite the past, or deny our struggles. Instead, it transforms the way we carry them. It allows us to see light where we once saw only darkness and to recognize that every experience—both joyful and difficult—has shaped who we are becoming.
The gold leaf represents the sacred value that already exists within every human heart. Like gold, our true worth is not created by success, failure, or the opinions of others. It has always been there, waiting to be uncovered.
The handwritten reflections surrounding the heart are fragments of a personal journey—moments of realization that became stepping stones toward healing. Together, they transform the canvas into more than a painting; they become a visual journal of gratitude, resilience, and self-discovery.
The crown reminds us that every heart carries inherent dignity. We do not earn our worth—we remember it.
For me, the heart is never simply a symbol.
It is a territory where gratitude changes the story we tell ourselves.
