Ryan Castro Tribute | The Heart of Cities Collection
Every city has a story. Every city has a heart.
Introducing The Heart of Medellín, part of The Heart of Cities Collection by contemporary artist Edwin Gil—a celebration of the places, cultures, and creative voices that shape our identities and connect us across borders.
Inspired by Medellín, Colombia, and created as an artistic tribute to Colombian singer Ryan Castro, this artwork captures the energy of a city whose music, creativity, and cultural identity resonate far beyond its mountains.
Through Gil's signature anatomical heart, the composition brings together the spirit of Medellín, the rhythm of urban music, and the pride of Colombian heritage.
Rooted in The Territory of Identity within The Heart Series, this piece explores how music becomes part of a city's heartbeat—carrying its stories, traditions, aspirations, and sense of belonging into the world.
More than a tribute to an artist, The Heart of Medellín celebrates a city, its people, and the power of creative expression to connect generations and cultures.
The Heart of Cities is a journey around the world, discovering the identity of each place through the universal language of the heart.
One City. One Rhythm. One Heart.
